Guide
An AI interview assistant with nothing to download
Updated 4 November 2026
Nail My Interview runs in a Chrome or Edge tab. There is no app to install and no extension, so it works on Windows, Mac and Linux, including computers where you can't install software. It listens to your interview and shows you a suggested answer to each question, written from your resume and the job you applied for.
What you need
- A laptop or desktop with Chrome or Edge. Windows, Mac or Linux all work.
- The interview open in a browser tab. Google Meet, Zoom on the web, Microsoft Teams on the web, Webex, or anything else that plays in a Chrome or Edge tab.
- That's it. No download, no admin rights, nothing to uninstall afterwards.
Why no download helps
- It works on Linux. Many interview assistants are desktop apps for Windows and Mac only. A browser tab works anywhere Chrome or Edge does.
- It works on computers you don't control, such as a shared, library or work laptop where installing apps is blocked.
- Nothing runs in the background. Close the tab and it's gone.
How to start
- Join your interview in Chrome or Edge. If it's Zoom or Teams, choose to join from the browser instead of the app.
- Open Nail My Interview in another tab and add your resume and the job.
- Press Start, pick the meeting tab, turn on "Also share tab audio" and press Share. Answers appear as each question is asked.
What doesn't work
- Safari and Firefox. They can't share a tab's sound, so use Chrome or Edge.
- Meeting desktop apps. The Zoom and Teams apps play sound outside the browser, so join those calls from the browser instead. See the guides for Zoom and Teams.
